Little Tokyo
During my trip to Los Angeles last month, I made a stop at little tokyo (a district in DTLA) and discovered a cute little vintage store named Popkiller. Here I picked up some adorable shades, and a japanese feudal-era inspired bandana that I will most likely be turning into a another halter top!
I also got a taste of the ramen that DTLA has to offer. The first place we went to was Ebaes which might have changed my life! Hands down the best ramen I have ever eaten. The second place was Orochon which is known for its spicy and large ramen portions.
One of my biggest goals is to travel to tokyo in the near future. This little piece of tokyo in LA was a pretty decent starter however. ;)

Twigs
Hailing from the UK, FKA Twigs (formerly-known-as twigs) won my heart over when I first discovered her on Spotify back in 2014.
Her mellow, gentle, and melancholic vocals really made her stand out to me. The album LP1 lays those vocals over a chopped, yet ethereal R&B production. If I had to choose one song on the album to listen to for the rest of my life, it would be 'Give Up'.
Another thing I really appreciate her for is her presence. It isn't forced, nor is it anything less than authentic. She's not afraid to be herself and her music also illustrates that. I could go on and on about her and her music but I suggest that you give it a listen for yourself! Also, every other artist on her label (Young Turks) is equally as amazing.
#halterlove
One of my favorite things about the summer time (or anytime for that matter) is the opportunity to play around with black and white amidst the beautiful green that the summer brings in.
I made this halter top sporadically last fall and couldn't wait to put it on in the Cali sun! It's amazing what you can create with what you already have or can find at a dollar store. Take a chance and get creative! I'll be posting a tutorial on how to make this super easy halter sometime pretty soon ;).
On a side note, my grad trip to California last month was everything! These pictures were taken around the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles.
