Exploring Savannah In 24 Hours
We started our journey with brunch at Huey's, a New Orleans cuisine restaurant on the infamous River St. The shrimp and grits & beignets there were actually...no...literally to die for. I would definitely recommend this spot for my fellow foodies. River St. was mostly filled with tons of souvenir shops and is home to the Savannah Bee Company, where we took advantage of the free honey tasting. We also made our way through Broughton St. which is filled with shops like J. Crew, Banana Republic, and Loft and was packed with tourists looking for those post-christmas sales (myself included lol).
About 5-10 minutes away from Downtown Savannah is the SCAD Art Museum. The collections there were lovely and surprisingly we didn't have to sneak to take photos in the galleries. I captured some amazing shots which I'll be posting as a one part photo series in my next post!
Overall amazing time in Savannah despite the heavy fog (which didn't stop us from going to Tybee Beach before we left)!

How to Entertain a Woman
Ok, although I won't be venting on how to I would like to be treated by these young men, I do want to highlight two beautiful albums that are super underrated. They are, "Woman" by Rhye and "Entertainment EP" by Garden City Movement.
Rhye, a lowkey R&B duo based in LA, released Woman back in 2013. Woman has a very sensual and delicate feel in every single song, backed with beautiful feathery vocals. My favorite track has to be "Shed Some Blood". This track describes such an unrequited and dire lust in very simple words, while other tracks like "Open" are characterized with candid desires. Overall, i'm still in love with this album two years later.
Garden City Movement, an electronic trio hailing from Israel, has a sound reminiscent of heaven. I'm always instantly drawn to mellow, chill music like theirs and when I heard their EP I listened to it over and over again. They have consistently released EPs since this one came out in late 2013, however I haven't had the chance to listen to anything else since I'm so stuck on this one haha. Of the 4 songs on this EP, i'm super in love with "Move on" and "Entertainment".

The Idlewild
What is creativity?
The ability to think on your feet? To create the unbelievable? To do things opposite of the status quo? I mean, I guess creativity can be defined as all of that. But the point that most people don't realize is that it can be defined as whatever it is you want. The biggest proponent of creativity is YOU. Creativity is what you define for yourself, how you break your own boundaries, and how you express your self as an individual.
I believe we are all capable of being "creative", and for me that is the definition of being part of The Idlewild. We are all a collection of young, individualistic, and creative minds.
(FYI: No affiliation with outkast, much respect though lol)
I started this blog to express my individuality and outlooks on things that interest me but hope to expand this to including others that inspire me and belong to the idlewild! So basically expect more variety of content through the end of the year and don't be shy to subscribe if you like what you read or see. ;)

Hello Details
In the midst of NYFW, I decided to follow suit and put together my spin on 'high fashion' on a young professional's budget. You don't need a runway in New York to showcase style :).
In this shoot i'm wearing a gorgeous longline blazer and blouse from H&M. The details on this blazer are soo lovely and pair well with my neutral outfit.
Working in corporate environment makes it soo hard to really wear what I want nowadays, so when I can I try and mix it up but still keep it professional.
Featured in one of the pictures is my adorable pup who has been taking up essentially 70% of my weekends. Wish I could hide him in my suitcase every week to come with me :(
Love, Hope
